There are total five levels in the Swim Star Awards 1. Red Star Award 2. Orange Star Award 3. Yellow Star Award 4. Purple Star Award 5. Blue Star Award
No, levels cannot be skipped. Each level builds upon the previous one to ensure a structured and progressive learning experience. The assessment criteria vary at each stage. (e.g., Red Star Award - focusing on pool water safety; Orange Star Award - focusing on home water safety).
Eligibility include : meeting the required skill level for each award and successfully completing the assessments set for each stage.
The programme focuses on developing safe and professional swimming skills, including: water safety awareness & self-rescue techniques, stroke efficiency and endurance and advanced aquatic skills.
Participants will receive a trophy, a certificate of achievement, and a personalized video and photo documentation.
The Swim Star Awards recognize and validate your swimming progress, boosting confidence and skill development while preparing you for more advanced aquatic achievements.
Step 1: Prior to the assessment, teacher will submit a video recording of the candidate to our assessor team (self-rescue & aquatic skills). Step 2: Upon approval by our assessor team, the candidate is now successfully registered for the assessment. Step 3: Teacher will conduct a mock exam with the candidate. Step 4: The student will attend the Swim Star Award assessment, which is assessed by our certified Swim Star Assessor from DPS Training Centre.
The award assessment is conducted at your lifestyle estate’s swimming pool or our HQ, EcoSky.
Yes, external swimmers can apply for the Swim Star Awards. However, eligibility and assessment requirements must be met before participation (e.g., take a few swimming and self-rescue skills videos for review purpose etc.)
